Homeless Shelter

Many people passing through Soulard notice our magnificent church building.  They look up towards the steeple, and they marvel at the beautiful stained-glass windows.  What many of them don’t realize is what is on the lower level of this building.

In the basement of our church, directly under the floor of our altar, is an emergency shelter.   About 70 men call this home, 365 days per year. The basic needs of shelter, food, showers, laundry, lockers and staff support are available nightly. Most importantly, the shelter provides a warm, safe, caring alternative to living on the street.

The shelter is managed by Peter and Paul Community Services.  You can find out more at this link.  www.ppcsinc.org
