EVENT: Worship in Motion - A Workshop on Gestured Prayer in Liturgy (OCT 24)

posted Aug 15, 2015, 2:46 PM by Web Updates   [ updated Aug 15, 2015, 2:51 PM ]

"Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and Holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." -Romans 12:1

What does that mean? It is giving your whole self to the Lord in worship, and one way to express this is through gestured prayer. This workshop will give you a background of Biblical examples and teach you some practical applications on how to incorporate gestured prayer within the Liturgy.

At Sts Peter & Paul, we have had a thirty-eight year tradition of Worship in Motion. We would love to share this ministry with you! Come join us on Saturday, October 24th from 9AM-3:30PM for a workshop on gestured prayer.

Registration fee is $30.00 per person (All proceeds will be donated to Sts Peter & Paul’s Meal Program for the Poor.) Participation in concluding Liturgy at 5:00PM is optional.

For more information and pre-registration, please e-mail Suzanne Tushar: suztushar@charter.net.Or, learn more and register now: stspp-worshipinmotion.eventbrite.com

It’s that time of year again to check the closet and round up the shoes you have not worn in a while!! This year’s shoe collection will begin Sunday, October 5th through Sunday,
November 16th. Any style or type of shoe is welcome…..just no holes in the bottom. Collection boxes will be available at the information center in church. Please tie laced shoes together or rubber band pairs together. The project benefits the “ShoemanWater Projects” which raises funds from the sale of new and used shoes to bring water to people in Kenya, Haiti and South America. For more information visit info@shoemanwater.org. Any questions, please contact the parish office at 314-231-9923.
